| The
WMTC technical programme focused
on technical excellence and innovation
in marine engineering, science and technology.
The programme, generated by a
Call for Papers was made up of over 230 papers. The
conference theme maritime innovation – delivering global solutions encouraged interaction between
the maritime communities and developed
integrated solutions to industry wide
issues whilst assessing the impact on
global economies. All areas of
the Institute’s scope were
covered; several of the streams were made up by existing and well-known events
combining resources for this major world
maritime occasion, whilst other conference
streams explored areas covered by
the Institute’s recently widened
remit. All parallel technical sessions
started and finished at the same time,
enabling attendees to pick and choose
from familiar and not so familiar technical
