WMTC overview
WMTC aims to provide a high profile technical and innovation event producing a major contribution to the maritime industry as a whole; an exhibition will run in parallel with WMTC 2006. In addition, it aims to provide greater awareness of IMarEST worldwide and its associated Sponsors and Global Partners.
WMTC 2006 will offer the sponsor:
- Promotion worldwide to all three sections of the Institute’s community – engineering, science and technology
- Interaction with existing and potential clients against the backdrop of WMTC
- The opportunity to associate with an international Institute promoting technical excellence and cutting edge technology which is then reflected within its own organisation
IMarEST overview
The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) is the international membership body and learned society for all marine professionals; although based in London over 40% of its membership is overseas. The Institute is the first professional institution to bring together marine engineers, scientists and technologists into one international multi-disciplinary professional body. It is the largest marine organisation of its kind with a world wide membership of over 15,000 professionals in over 100 countries.
The IMarEST is a respected authority in every maritime country and is a truly international organisation that has non-governmental status with the International Maritime Organization (IMO). In addition, IMarEST branches worldwide often have close links with their own governments and national NGO’s. The Institute is a nominated and licensed body of the Engineering Council (UK), a member of the Science Council, and has significant links with many other organisations including the Engineering and Technology Board, the Maritime Forum and the Society of Marine Industries. Sponsorship packages
Gold package: WMTC principal sponsor
- Sole sponsor rights to company logo situated on front cover of WMTC programme (published Sept. 2005)
- Sole sponsor rights to company logo linked to WMTC branding on the stage set at QEII Conference Centre; silver and bronze sponsors will be listed separately
- Sponsor’s name listed on press releases and advertisements for WMTC, and where appropriate other publicity opportunities
- Sponsor’s name to appear on the delegate packs, which will be available to all delegates
- Use of hospitality room located on 4th floor of QEII Conference Centre for the duration of WMTC
- The principal sponsor will have priority choice of the location of their exhibition stand, and have a discount square metre cost
- Hyperlink to be provided from the WMTC website to the sponsor’s website
- The sponsor may include corporate literature in the delegate packs
- The sponsor may provide promotional gifts for delegates in agreement with IMarEST
- A reduced delegate rate will be available to all personnel registering from the sponsoring company
Silver package: WMTC sponsors – shared (unlimited)
- Listing inside front cover of WMTC programme (published Sept. 2005)
- Other companies will be invited to sponsor the conference for the same sponsorship sum
- On payment of an additional sum, company name can be linked with WMTC social event
- Once the principal sponsor has selected the location of their exhibition stand, silver package sponsors can select their areas; a reduced square metre cost will apply
- Sponsors’ names listed on press releases and advertisements for WMTC where possible
- Hyperlink to be provided from the WMTC website to the sponsor’s website
- The sponsor may include corporate literature in the delegate packs
- The sponsor may provide promotional gifts for delegates in agreement with IMarEST

- Preferential choice, after gold and silver sponsors, of exhibition stand location; a reduced square metre cost will apply
