SHIPCONSTRUCTOR - ALBACORE RESEARCH LTD

SHIPCONSTRUCTOR - ALBACORE RESEARCH LTD will be exhibiting its latest revolutionary software release, ShipConstructor 2006, and the benefits of the latest developments to the offshore and shipbuilding industry. Representatives will be available to demonstrate the latest additions and will illustrate how ShipConstructor is being used by the 200-plus yards and designers worldwide.

•With the new DDROM, moving a tanktop adjusts the height of all frame plate parts under it automatically. Similarly, a hull trace change updates all related parts instantly.

The release of ShipConstructor 2006 represents the most significant upgrade of the software since its initial release. ShipConstructor’s fundamentally new parametric-like modelling paradigm, the Database Driven Relational Object Model (DDROM), will dramatically reduce the amount of time spent modelling and revising parts, and enable designs that were never before possible. Building on this new technological foundation, all modules have been thoroughly modernized, providing improved performance, more streamlined workflows, and a variety of new features. Finally, an Application Programming Interface (API) will enable customers to achieve new levels of automation, customisation and integration with third-party applications. ShipConstructor’s API opens secure access to the product object model.
