KONGSBERG MARITIME LTD

KONGSBERG MARITIME will be featuring SIS - Seafloor Information System, real-time multibeam bathymetric software and the Underwater High Definition Video Camera.

SIS is a real time software application designed as the user interface and real time data processing system for our hydrographic instruments. The main task of SIS is to be a logical and user-friendly interface for the surveyor, providing the functionality needed for running a survey efficiently. A major improvement over previous survey software is the built-in functionality for cleaning of bathymetric data.

The Underwater High Definition Video Camera: The OE14-500 underwater HDTV camera is designed and priced to be used for all general purpose ROV inspection tasks. The various video output options allow compatibility with existing ROV composite video transmission systems and HDV, DV or Firewire systems plus simple conversion from Component to other alternative digital formats including HD-SDI. In addition to HDTV video the camera has an inbuilt 2.7 mega pixel digital stills capability. A water compensated optical zoom lens provides a close-up inspection capability combined with the flexibility of a 10x magnification for powerful stand off inspections.

Other exhibits will include: High Precision Acoustic Positioning, Vessel Dynamic Positioning, Multibeam Sonar, SAS Sonar, Sub-Bottom Profiling and Mine Countermeasures.

Delegates to the Offshore Oil and Gas; ATUV – Underwater Vehicles; MAREC – Marine Renewable Energy; Coast and Ocean Mapping; Reefs of the World; Operational Oceanography; and EEZ Management streams at WMTC 2006 will be interested in the Kongsberg Maritime exhibit.
